〈Soundcloud〉シーンを中心に活動中のUSはシアトルを現在は拠点に活動中のアーティスト、bedheadがリリースした『goblin boy and the infinite price tag』を入荷しました。

bedheadはscrewyounickやLil Wet Wet辺りの作品にもゲストとして参加しているアーティストで、エモラップ〜ハイパーポップの間を上手についた作風が素晴らしいアーティスト。今作にも彼らのシーンのアーティストであるRocco Bunko、Wstdyth、sphere merchantsなどがゲスト参加しています。

冒頭を飾る「in the garden」から彼が得意とするハイパーポップ以降のエモラップを基本的に鳴らしているのでこの手の〈Soundcloud〉シーンのサウンドが好きな人にはマストチェックしてほしいし、有名所だとglaiveやericoda辺りの人が好きな人にも一歩踏み出してほしいアーティストであることは間違いないです。

基本的にシンプルな構成の楽曲が多いのですが、3曲目「the end of the world」から「not my best」への繋ぎ方とかがまるでDJ Mixを聞いているかのようにキレイだったりと細かいところに前作よりも拘りを感じるし、Juice Wrldを彷彿させる「hi speed」という曲も素晴らしいですね。
