ポートランドを拠点に活動中のプロデューサー / ラッパー、hopelessがリリースした新作EP『miss u, kinda don't tho』を入荷しました。
hopelessはエモラップ以降の心地良さとエモさを兼ね備えたHIP-HOPを〈Soundcloud〉中心にリリースするアーティストで、今作は彼の楽曲に惚れた〈Ratgirl Records〉が独自CD化したもの。
冒頭を飾る「Started」からGlaive辺りのパンデミック禍に出てきたエモラップを彷彿させるような少しダークな仕上がりになっていたり、5曲目に収録されている「Ur Love Is Torturous」とかを聴いていてもJuice World辺りのエモラップとかが好きな人にはオススメのシンプルなサウンドに仕上がっているし、個人的には〈Soundcloud〉のシーン以上に〈Rolling Loud〉とかにも出演している普通のエモラップが好きな人に向けてオススメしたいアーティストですね。
