Brooklynを拠点に活動中のSSW、Rachel Brownによるプロジェクト、thanks for comingがリリースした最新作『To be honest, I was lying』を入荷しました！

2019年にリリースされた『No Problem』が素晴らしかったThanks for Comingですが、相変わらずマニアックなインディーファンに突き刺してくるような作品に仕上がっています。

2曲目に収録されている「Directions」とかシンプルにルートするビートとエモさと切なさがミックスされたDIYソングで素晴らしいし、彼女にしては珍しいファジーなオルタナティブ曲「I can get emotional too」とかも新鮮にアルバムの中で鳴っています。

5曲目「Dropped the ball」とかのドライブ感のあるサウンドも良いし、変則的なビートが頭から離れない「200 million steps」のような実験的な曲もThanks for Comingらしい曲や完全にエクスペリメンタルを表現している「Stagnant」などアルバムの後半では少しノーマルなインディーロックから離れているのも面白い！
