Iceageなどの出身地としてもお馴染みのコペンハーゲンから新たに世界に殴り込みに行く準備が整ったThe Entrepreneurs。
Sonic YouthばりのノイジーなギターとNirvanaばりのエネルギッシュなグランジ感を兼ね備えた爆裂サウンドに乗っかるヴォーカル、Mathias Bertelsenのハイトーン・ヴォイスが最高にカッコいいし、冒頭の「Session 1」でのヴォーカルとファジーなギターサウンドでもうノックアウトされてる人は多数なはず。
リードシングルとして公開された「Joaquin」は、ノイズ・ロック、インディ、そしてマス・ロックっぽさまで兼ね備えたこのアルバムのハイライトとなる一曲だし、アルバムは後半になるにつれて、オルタナやアート・ロックっぽさが増してくる。
7曲目に収録されている「Ages」ではオルタナティブなシンセ・ポップっぽいアプローチをするなど実験面でも面白い作品です。
