つ、遂にto'morrow recordsでもAmerican Footballの作品を取り扱うことにしました。

1997年に発売されたデビュー作、この作品が完成した後にバンドはすぐに解散。リリースした時にはバンドは解散してるって、なんじゃそれって感じですよね。

しかし彼らが作ったこの1stアルバム『American Football』が解散後も口コミなどで広がり、いつの間にか世界中のエモファンの中のレジェンドに。

エモの良さというと、汚い地下のライブハウスで拳を突き上げながら唄い、溜まりこんだエネルギーを音と共に発散するかのように、まさに汗と一緒に鳴っている音っていうのが最大の魅力なのだと思うのですが、American Footballの音楽はそのような良さはもちろんありますが、それ以上に美しい。

空気の間をすり抜けるようなギターのアルペジオ、そして静かに頭の中で安らぎの時間を与えてくれるトランペット、そして妙に優しく子守唄のようなマイクのヴォーカル。

そう、American Footballは僕の中では最高の安らぎの音なのです。
説明不要かもしれませんが、聴いたこと無い人がいたらマストですよ。

2014年の復活の狼煙となったリイシュー盤、2LPで入荷です！
