サンフランシスコ出身のオルタナティブ・ロック・バンド、Pllushが『Father/Daughter』からリリースしたデビューアルバム「Stranger to the Pain」。
過去に発表している2枚のEPでは、シューゲイザーなどからの影響を感じる少しふんわりとしたサウンドを鳴らしていたPllushが、今作では迫力を何倍も増した骨太オルタナに進化。
4曲目に収録されている「Big Train」ではシドニーのMiddle KidsやロンドンのOur Girlといった注目されているオルタナティブ・バンドに通じるものを感じるし、「3:45」のようにまだシューゲイザーが残っている楽曲もありつつ、次の「Restart」ではグランジとオルタナの間を上手く縫ったようなギターが活きた楽曲などが配置されていて面白い。
